A Woodland Wedding Set in an Ancient Iron Age Hillfort
At Hillfort Woodland Weddings, we specialize in creating woodland weddings that are inspired by nature, allowing you to celebrate your love in a natural environment surrounded by trees. Our wedding venue is steeped in history and is the perfect place for couples who want an unforgettable ceremony that captures the essence of their love, with a team that is dedicated to making your day stress-free and memorable.

Our wedding venue is completely unique. The Hillfort was built and occupied in the Iron Age and later occupied by the romans. the views are stunning, you can see for miles over the beautiful Cranbourne Chase with barely a building visible. Access is along a beautiful woodland track, leading to a grassed avenue, and finally the Hillfort itself. We provide a dry hire location, with reliable local suppliers for you to chose from. We only have one wedding per weekend, and have a small campsite a stones throw away with a mixture of accommodation from a period holiday cottage, to Bell Tents, shepherd huts, and camping pitches. • Exclusivity: yes, absolutely. Only one Wedding a week maximum of 10 weddings a year.
• Licensed for Marriage: no. This needs to be done in a registry office.
• Accommodation: we have six luxury Eco cabins on site and there is a fantastic range of accommodation in the village
• Catering: we can recommend an excellent local caterer
• Late license: we do not have a shut off time in the evening. This needs to be discussed with each group depending on what their plans are.
• Parking: yes free parking
• Pets welcome: yes absolutely dogs are welcome and horses too. You could actually ride up the aisle.
