GUILDHALL

Somerset

The Grade I listed Guildhall is an elegant choice for a city wedding. The venue is situated in the heart of the city near the Abbey and Pump Room and Roman Baths. An impressive setting for a ceremony and reception, the Georgian interiors and grand staircases make a magnificent backdrop for a wedding party. A short stroll away is the beautifully kept Parade Gardens which overlook the River Avon and Pulteney Bridge. These gardens are a lovely choice for wedding photographs if the weather is fine.

The Banqueting Room is a fine, highly decorated room with ornate gilding, historic paintings and soaring ceilings. You may seat up to 360 guests in this room which is available all day and could be followed with a reception in one of our other beautiful venues.

The Council Chamber is situated on the first floor and is a distinctive and impressive room with fixed seating and a public gallery. Seating up to 120 guests, this makes the perfect ceremony location before moving into the Banqueting Room for the reception.

The Brunswick Room is conveniently situated on the ground floor and is well proportioned, seating up to 120 guests for a ceremony. This is ideally placed to precede a wedding reception in the Banqueting Room upstairs.

"We had a fantastic wedding at the Guildhall, the staff were all perfect and the facilities and catering were over and above our expectations. The staff really went the extra mile to ensure every detail was catered for and to ensure we had nothing to worry about. Thanks to all concerned for contributing to what was a lovely and memorable day, and our perfect wedding"
