Your wedding at Barley Wood is always exclusive. The venue is offered on a full weekend hire basis, allowing you the time and space to relax, settle in and enjoy the celebration without rushing. From Friday to Sunday, you and your guests can enjoy the house as your own. This includes nine double bedrooms, five luxurious bathrooms with roll top baths and walk in showers, and a spacious four poster bridal suite.

 

Every wedding here is bespoke. The team understands that each couple has their own vision, style and story, and they take pride in ensuring that no two weddings ever feel the same. You have the freedom to choose your own suppliers or select from a trusted list of recommended professionals. Whether your ideas are refined and intimate or bold and grand, the house and gardens form a perfect backdrop for personal touches.

Barley Wood offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces. The south facing summer house, set within the gardens, provides panoramic views and a romantic natural setting. Indoors, the ceremony room is warm and charming, with gentle natural light and restored period windows framing the surrounding landscape. The grand hall upstairs is an impressive setting for your wedding breakfast, creating a sense of occasion while still feeling welcoming and relaxed.

The venue can host up to 120 guests for your ceremony and formal wedding breakfast, with room for up to 160 guests for an evening celebration where the house truly comes alive with music, laughter and dancing.
