Escot House is an idyllic Devon wedding venue; impressive, steeped in history and with that certain touch of class. What makes us different is our relaxed attitude; you will love having all the splendour with none of the fuss for an affordable price. Our rooms are generously proportioned, light and friendly – there’s simply nothing stuffy about Escot.
 

Located in East Devon, the striking Georgian house is set in peaceful parkland, and your wedding guests will have the chance to relax in wonderful surroundings. The house overlooks the park and the lake and offers a delightful backdrop for your wedding photographs.
 

 Your wedding day will be in safe hands with the Kennaway family, who have been organising weddings and events for over twenty five years. This is their home, they love it – and they know you will love it too. Lucy Kennaway is your main point of contact; she will work with you to create your ideal wedding and make sure you have a stress free day. We can do as much or as little as you like, but we are more than happy to take on all the hard work so you and your guests can just relax and celebrate. 
 

Our wedding catering is unquestionably delicious, home-cooked on the premises using locally sourced ingredients, guaranteeing taste and flavour. We cater for all diets, as long as we know in advance, so vegetarians, vegans and guests with allergies will be as spoiled as every other wedding guest. 
 

Escot House is licensed for civil ceremonies. We will gladly host small, intimate weddings, and for larger, more lavish weddings we can seat up to 120 in the house itself, or 180 if we use a marquee. Evening receptions are also held in the house, making it effortless for your celebrations to continue into the night as more guests arrive.

Escot House is not a wedding factory. We book a smaller number of weddings each year than many venues, purely because we like it that way. Every wedding that we host is as special to us as it is to the bride and groom. You will receive exclusive use of the house and its facilities. 
 

Most importantly for the budget conscious, Escot House is a brilliantly affordable wedding venue. You may be surprised at our prices, and delighted too when you find you have more to spend on champagne!
 

The estate is easily accessible from the M5, the A30, and Feniton and Honiton train stations. And although we don’t offer accommodation we have a list of wonderful local hotels, B&B, holiday cottages and glamping options.
